My Naadi astrology experience- a truly bewitching one- Part II

By h e m a n t h - October 12, 2010

(continued from my previous post)

As I was totally immersed into reading the article on the wall, I didn’t notice a hand coming towards my shoulder. “Tap!”
Someone patted at my back. My contemplation was instantly disturbed. “Please stand in the queue!!”, a distant voice yelled. I joined the long queue stretching out to the street. Finally when it was my turn, I was taken to the ‘pooja’ (prayer) hall. As I entered, I was awestruck to see thousands of old palm leaves stocked inside a series of cupboards. A big picture of siddhar Agathiyar quickly caught my attention. Then my right thumb impression was taken on a small card and my initial and place of residence were also noted down on the card (my full name wasn’t asked). Then I was asked to wait in the lounge along with the rest of the crowd. Time rolled on, and lot of people in the lounge were called out at regular intervals, informing that their leaf had been identified. As for me, it had been two hours, and no news yet.

I was pondering about how I would prove to my friend that this is fake and convince him tonight. Soon it was lunch time, and I went for a light meal, and returned to the place again. I had whiled away five hours in that strange place, and no news yet! I sighed, and almost confirmed that this whole thing was just a poor old trick. Suddenly, one of the employees appeared in the lounge and called out, “Sanatorium – H, your leaf has been found. You may proceed to the room downstairs!”. Sanatorium was the place where I lived, and H is my initial. Yes, it was me. My palm leaf had been found out.

The story grips.  As I anxiously proceeded to the room, an astrologer who seemed religious with his simple outfits and a wide forehead fully covered with holy ash, beckoned me inside. He had a set of old, crippling palm leaves (written in vatteluthu Tamil script). He claimed one of those palm leaves to be mine (WHAT?!). He flipped through the hundreds of palm leaves in the set one by one, and read out some info. Every time before he moved on to the next leaf, he asked if any of the information was about me. After several such questions, he said he brought a wrong piece, and that he’d bring the right one. I could almost hear a loud cynical laugh from my deep insides.

He was back soon with a new set of palm leaves. He asked me so many yes-or-no questions and I almost lost interest in this game, and frantically shook my head for all his questions. As he flipped through the leaves, suddenly he uttered a name and questioned me if that was my dad’s name. I slowly raised my head, looked at him in astonishment and nodded. This was indeed the moment of truth. My dad has a very unique name that is often misspelled, but he uttered my dad’s name in its perfect spelling! I was totally flabbergasted how in the world my dad's name could have been written on that leaf!

Then he sat back, now seemed even more poised, and said that he had identified my own naadi leaf. He continued reading an ancient incomprehensible Tamil poem from the leaf and I was put to shock again- I heard him uttering my mom’s name. He read on, to say that I’ve sought Naadi at my age of 21. ("well, it's not rocket science to say what my age was, after looking at me. But how come my dad and mom’s names?!") He read out a hymn as Agathiyar praising Lord Shiva, and then came my name, what I was studying, how many siblings I have, what my dad and mom’s professions were, etc, etc, etc. I had an uneasy feeling that I was starting to lose the battle. He read out the exact date when I was born, and all the planetary positions during my birth. He also added that I was born on a Friday. But to my joy, this one wasn't true!

I quickly said to him that it was wrong and that I was almost sure that I was rather born on a Wednesday, and not a Friday. With a confident smile, he replied back that he was just reading what’s written on the leaf and asserted that the leaf says that I was born on a Friday and that couldn't be wrong. Then he continued reading. He started to read about my future- when I would start working, where and what will be my profession, whether and when I will fly to a foreign country, when would I get married, so on and so forth, up until the end of my life. I gasped at the moment he uttered my dad’s name, and I remember I breathed again only after he completed reading about my whole life.

Thousands of questions were spawning and proliferating in my mind, from several directions. Is this real, or am I still dreaming?? I could wake up right now, right at this moment and prove that this is all fake! But well, my excited heart rate asserts to me that I’m awake. This is happening for real. But how could it be possible? How could someone have written each and every detail about me, my family and my future, several thousand years ago? My senses were eating me for finding an answer, but in vain. After an hour’s time, I was given a notebook where the whole manuscript was copied on to.

This was truly a mind-boggling experience. All of these seemed to be unquestionably authentic and true, except for my day of birth. Interestingly, just this seemed to be wrong. I quickly sent a text message to my dad: “Dad, was I born on a Friday?!”. I was forced to think about all possible tricks that could have made this possible. I got reminded of a skill that a handful of people possess- ‘Mind-reading’. Some people are supposed to possess this extrasensory skill with which they could “pull out” words from one’s fresh memory. Before a mind-reader would tell what your name was, he would start with, “so, your name is...”. As your mind would be instantly waiting with your name to validate with his answer, a mind-reader can pull it out – as it is commonly believed. I was cross-checking my event with a suspicion of mind-reading. The naadi astrologer could’ve been a mind reader, and that’s how he was able to tell me my name and my parents' names. But there is no explanation for the future predictions. But wait- when I myself thought I was born on a Wednesday, why did he say that to be a Friday?! So, this cannot be mind-reading too. Sigh.. But why just my day of birth was wrong in the palm leaf? I left the place. Besides being thoroughly amazed, I was also confused.

During my journey back home, I was riding a local train that was too noisy and unusually crowded. But I was deaf to the external world. I didn’t hear a thing other than the millions of questions being asked within myself. I was deeply contemplating. “BEEP- BEEP!” My mobile phone’s SMS tone distorts my contemplation.

It’s from dad: “Yes, indeed”.

Now, only the amazement persists.

  1. Perhaps we should follow occam's razor on this one.
For example, you did give your full address to them. Any private investigator could've gotten some information from that.
For the details, a combination of "Cold Reading" and a PI is a possible explanation.

Regarding the writing on the palm leaves, the simplest explanation would've been that it is a fake. I am sure there are ways to make palm leaves look aged, if only for a brief, distracted glimpse that you were afforded.

  2. @Anonymous: Good critical thought. A few clarifications:
    1) I did NOT give my full address to them. I didn't mention so in the post too. The information that was given out was just the name of the town. For example: 'Tampa'. Moreover, the town in question has a population of around 100,000 and I was new to this place then!

    2) As for the details, it cannot be 'cold-reading' or any other means. I cannot divulge more information on a blog. (An interesting trivia: police department has been using naadi for investigation of some of their cases too, of late!) And there cannot be any 'theories' for the future predictions. Remember, it's been so many years since I sought this. So, those writings could've turned into reality by now :)

    3) These palm leaf manuscripts have been carbon dated to be of ~400 years old. Well, then how could these be written thousands of years ago by sages when a palm leaf's life is just around 450 years? Well, for the answer, you have to read my old posts! :)

On top of these experiences, I've invested a substantial amount of research on this matter. It's also worth to mention that I cannot imagine a bigger skeptic and a critic than me, on this regard!

"Only an EXPERIENCE can prove things and NOT discussions!" That's exactly the takeaway of these two posts! lol

  4. DID YOU LIKE IT? - Obviously yes.

Good work dude, nice blog with basics right, taken away with a narration which is easier to understand and accept the path of the story line.

Dude, not to mention that these are fakes, but proved a business by many people at Chidambram and Vaiteswaran Temple localities in SUN TV Nijam few months back.

    Clarifications needed regarding.

You were stunned at Tambram center, it was also nice to read that your folks names were flashed in front like a miracle.
(My advise is to check it with another center)

Will they come up with your details and produce you a report which were given at Tambram, if duly very the same, then fine else which 1 to support.

Also are they not running out of palm leaves owing to the growing population.

Could have stopped the Tsunami calamities few years ago. Nostradamus books had mentioned abt the 9/11 and the Tsunami.
As a true hindu and a believer, shall we conclude by blaming it on peoples ignorance??

  5. @Umaraam: First of all, very shrewd questions!

    Here's a three-part answer:

    1) These Naadi astrology manuscripts were not just written by Agathiyar siddhar. There were many more. (to clearly understand what I'm speaking here, you should read this post: http://hemanththiru.blogspot.com/2010/09/naadi-astrology-and-siddhar-agathiyars.html ) But each siddhar had a different verse. The amount of clarity also varied. For instance, Kausika naadi is much more in detail! Technically, there should be only one Agathiya naadi leaf for you. But there has been a long history of copies made out of the original. This being said, if you see different predictions of the same author, from two naadi centers, this means one of those is fake. Watch out, there are some fake, money-minded naadi centers too. They are spoilsports to such an ancient occult wonder. And, are there naadi leaves for every human on the planet? You need to read the other post of mine. A short answer: "only for the destined".

    2) I haven't known if Siddhars have written predictions about places and calamities. But they did write on other aspects as Tamil Grammar, Tantric methods, alchemy, Siddha medicine etc.

    3) As a noble human being, I would urge everyone to research and experience any debated ancient entity and only then comment and be opinionated on it. To have an opinion, you need to have 'your own' base. At least that is the big learning I had from this whole exercise.

Thanks, and glad that you liked reading my post.

    Best regards,
    hemanth

  10. Hemanth, I read your story with great interest, and of course I believe it, having read the book I mention in my blog: 'The Hidden Oracle of India' by Andrew and Angela Donovan, who went through the same scala of disbelief and conviction as you did.
I'm not amazed things like that happened in India a long time ago. Your country is magical, and there is a lot written - especially in the past - about the unexplainable feats that flabbergasted western people but were just common occurences in the lives of holy people. Nevertheless, the Naadi feats are amazing, and we can only conclude that our lives are not as much ruled by free will as we like to think!

  11. Dear Loes,
Glad that you liked my posts!
As you said, Naadi is just one unexplainable phenomenon of India. There are many more! During visits to European museums, and while seeing the vast information (audio guides and interactive guides) that these museums render for each artifact and the existence of a museum for any thinkable topic in European countries, make me ponder about India always. There should be a million museums in this country! But unfortunately, there are not many and they fail to attract visitors. But no worries, the bright times are in the near horizon! :)

  16. Hemanth / Readers...

I too had a magical experience with the Naadi. Hemanth is 100% correct - you need to find an authentic reader. However, if you are not destined to receive an "authentic" reading, you will never get one, irrespective of how hard you try. Perhaps the most important lesson from the reading is the acceptance of Karma as the divine law. The correlation between your previous births and your current life is too strong to ignore. Your past actions (good and bad) will eventually bear fruit...

Hemanth - did the reading give you any accurate clues about your future spouse? i.e. clues relating to the name, features etc...How did that work out? Great blog....

  19. Hi,

Great post and thank you for sharing your insights and experience on this subject. Since it is apparent that finding an "authentic" reader is important, do any of them have any "mail in" systems, whereby those not living in India at the moment can mail in their thumbprint? How can more people gain access to this system?

    ReplyDelete
  20. Hi,

Thanks! Glad to know that you liked my blog!

"How can more people gain access to this system?" Well, that's a great question. I've had some serious thoughts on this already. All these palm-leaf manuscripts could be digitized and sorted with the help of professionals, and hosted on a website and made freely available to each and everyone in the world. Since only the thumb-print (whether it is a spiral or it is in concentric circles, and how many dots does the center circle have) is the key to one's own palm-leaf, this could be done using an easy algorithm. Once the "digital leaf" is accessed, a Tamil scholar who knows to read "vatteluththu" script can be sought for understanding its content. Though this seems like a great deed, you may also need to know that it is a very sensitive tradition, and such a project would raise privacy concerns.

Yes, certain Naadi centers have mail-in systems too. Please "like" the blog on Facebook for more discussions/ click "follow" via google connect at the left bottom of the blog.

I have been hoping to visit a nadi centre myself..was wondering as to which center you visited, let me give a try in the same place since things seem to have been true considering your life. Also, a quick question, I was informed by some elders in ma family rather advised me not to get this done since it brings death soon into your life once you have gotten to knw you past and future. Any thoughts on this.??

With regards to your second question, I've never heard of such a thing. If that was the case, all the people who seek Naadi should learn their future to be short-lived or to end just after seeking the prediction, right?!

  28. Hi Hemanth ,
I am a new entry to ur blog. I know a little bit of astrology myself. I had studied brihat samhitha and many more ancient treatises of astrology. But I never believed in Naadi. But my guru always went to a Naadi centre even though he knows more abt astrology than the naadi reader. He was more of a friend to my guru. Then one day , he told me to check my naadi as I was in confusion regarding taking a decision on a important matter.
Then the day arrived which may be termed as the day which changed my life and my views.
The important thing that everybody should know is nobody except me knew my birth chart as my grandfather told me to not to show to anybody. Even my guru did not know my birth details and my birth chart. A birth chart in Hindu Astrology consists of 9 planets and the positions of which change in minutes. I had a rare combination of having born in eka rashi and eka lagna i.e., same rashi and same lagna.
So when I entered the room , I bowed myself to Agastya Rishi and gave my thumb impression and my initial. As a astro student and having known some tantra myself , I was not surprised when he told my father's name and my mother's name and the no of siblings I have and their professions. I told to myself that I still have a jackpot in my hand, so no need to worry. Then he started reading out the details of my birth chart, to my wonder he told the every combinations right including same lagna and rashi except one ( I have mars in pisces but he told its in aries). I literally thought I caught him and told he was wrong. He asked me what was wrong and I pointed him at Mars. He smiled at me and said that the old rishis used vaakya panchanga and not drigganitha. Now vaakya is an ancient panchanga which has not been in use as no one now knows how to use it. But still I had a software in my mobile which consisted of vaakya panchanga . So I entered my birth details and the result it came out was astonishing . It was same as the naadi reader predicted.
Then I wanted to check the leaves and the opportunity provided itself as the reader after reading my general kandam went to the room to search my other leaves. He had left the leaves on the table as my guru was his friend. My guru told me that u can read urself the leaves and the reader will not tell anything. So I picked up the leaves , it was perhaps a decade older and it was in old tamil and it was the same as the reader have read. Then I asked the reader that the leaves appears to be new and the ink would not be more than a decade older, he told me smilingly that this was not original leaves, instead he has copied this from original leaves which was in Tanjore and scattered across Tamil Nadu. He also showed me how they differentiate nadis from ones thumb lines. The most imp thing is the line in the middle of the thumb.
Now almost all my doubts have been cleared and he read my other leaves. He also told me that there have been cases where the leaves for a person has not been found at all( after this visit , I wanted to check my grandfather's nadi we checked the whle library and he did not found it. It took 4 months when the reader told me that a leaf resembles my grandfather which he had found in trichy , I checked the leaf it was a much older leaf , must be some 5 to 6 decades older). Its not that every body can get nadi leaves, as the most leaves are permanently lost due to negligence, muslim invasion and many of the leaves during 18th century were taken away (stolen) by British.
And for all the skeptics in the world ,there is only one thing I would tell, no super computer would be able to draw a person's birth chart accurately even if we enter the year and the day of our birth(where as in Nadi we never give the birth details). I think all experienced guys would agree with me that Nadi readers would have never asked the timing of our birth etc.
If there is a skeptic who says naadi is a trick, then I would give him my birth date and year, lets see if he can come up with my birth chart accurately in a single go.

I would like to share my experience with you. I "was" an Atheist from my childhood days. Never believed in rituals, god and temples. Once my mom brought this cassette and I was fascinated by the predictions. Then i took an appointment and visited them(more in the investigative mode)

It was the most surprising day of my life. As you have already told, there were clear writings about parents, siblings, profession, birth date and time, charts, past and future. Its been almost two years now, and I am experiencing everything(good and bad) as it was predicted.

Now I am in Germany (as predicted) but this Naadi shastra always wonders me. I am unable to call myself an Atheist no more.

In terms of the predictions having been correct or not in my life, I think it's a bit early to have a clear opinion on it yet, especially when it's not even been a decade since I sought Naadi. Having said that, yes, I am indeed seeing the preditions being manifested.

@Manju: thanks for sharing your experience! I'm sure it would have been mind-boggling! It was interesting to know that it made you change your religious views as well!

  50. Hi,
Ive had my naadi leaves read and it has been mind blowing. I was quite sure of what they would ask and I was quite prepared on my answers as couple of my friends too had experiences with this form of occult. I cant really figure if this is any money minded circus coz they never demand any money from you until your leaves are found. And one of my friends leaves have yet to be found. Let me give you my experience. My family is christian while my dad has a hindu name. The leaves were very accurate in prediting my dads name as well as pointing out that I was a lone child. But what has more convinced me is when one of my acquaintance went to consult this astrologer a day after his engagement to a girl with a 'muslim' name and the astrologer pointed out the exact name. To me this is really mind blowing. How on earth can you match all of these factors. I've read few of my leaves and in no where i can find any evidence to the fact that there is a 'fooling' science behind it. It could be true, could be false but it might depend on the genuinity of the reader as there are many fakes out there as well. So its all your luck where and whom you go to consult.

  52. Hi Hemant.

I enjoyed reading ur blog. U r a good writer, u keep the reader engaged throughout . I do believe in god, destiny and astrology to some extent. I have heard that naadi shastra can tell a persons past, present and future life. I have a question since u r already into this u may be able to answer it. Like our religion tells us whatever (good / bad) we do in this life will be rewarded in next life. How can our future life be written on the leaf already? When we
have not finished our present life, we r yet to do many deeds( good/bad)? If it's written already means that they have already calculated our karma for this
life, which means the leaf has predictions about the mistakes I am going to
    make in this life.
Sorry if u find this rude. I am having a rough time and I can't accept the fact
that we have to suffer for the mistakes did in past life. When Being a good human being at present life does not count. Can u pls reply.

    Cheers

    1. Hi Shilpa,

Interesting questions! However, this is not a very scientific or researched topic, so I'm not going to do guesswork on what I do not know. All that I know is that these Naadi manuscripts do tell about what bad deeds that one did during his/her past life, and says that the current birth is because of the bad deeds in the previous life. There is one Naadi chapter that specifically talks about your previous life (Read: http://hemanththiru.blogspot.ca/2010/09/naadi-astrology-and-siddhar-agathiyars.html)

Many Indian scriptures say that humans are bound to suffer (or enjoy benefits) in their following births based on the bad deeds (or good deeds) they did in their previous lives. An interesting quote from one of the 5 great epics of Tamil - "Silapathikaaram" here: "Past and present acts of one will certainly yield their results on him"

My opinion is, when you call something "destiny", it means that you are destined to go through it, or it's already "decided" that you go through it. But the solace is that, there is another Naadi chapter that specifies where you will be born in your next life. It also mentions if you have one more life, or if it's all DONE! :)

    2. My guess is they are over hearing our conversation from another room n they just overwrite few words in a chuvadi n reads it back..I had a personal experience at tambaram..why dont they get us our chuvadi in the first slot itself?? they read 30 to 40 chuvadis n they make us wait for sometime for next bundle and come back with our chuvadi..also they just show few names in the chuvadi which we can understand like our mother name or our name..i guess these are the over written words in the chuvadi in the breaktime..also he read few things from chuvadi but missed one while writing..when i asked him how he missed he could not answer me..I guess they are mostly fake readers only but there may be geniune readers as well..But the one i checked was pakka fake n there were so many waiting for the whole day n they had more than 5 readers there..good business..U should have checked at the same place.

  54. Hi all,
Gone thru all ur comments. Even I had my nadi reading done in Hyderabad, Aandhra Pradesh. Even I experienced all those shocking moments. but my janma nakshatra went wrong in predicting. I came back to him with the correct one and asked him to see once again. then he saw all those panchangams and said tat it was wrong and all the prediction would be moved one and half ear early. I was shocked.
And to my surprise, My friend also had his reading done and nothing happened to him as predicted. They said he would go to foreign for higher studies, stay there for 2 yrs and then he will get a job there with good pay and all.. But out of my surprise.. my frnd went to UK, discontinued his MS and returned back to India. Nothing happened as predicted. Now few days back, I went to tat place and asked him to re check mine and take out my kalyana kandam. After knowing my friends story now i don wanna go der as i feel it is all fake and nothing is gng to happen except waste of money..

Firstly,I would like to admit that am completely overwhelmed by the contents of your blog. The articles on ancient history of Tamilnadu and various unique practices of Tamils, which has been widely accepted and appreciated (not to mention surprised people)globally are definitely knowledge treasures.Myself a proud tamilian, have always been intrigued by the mysterious land of Tamil Nadu and its history.with the best of resources available to me,i have researched on topics of Lemuria/Kumarikandam,the rulers and their glories so far and continue doing so.unfortunately,i don't have access to many of these resources as i don't live in Tamilnadu.so,that leaves me to fend for my information from internet.Blogs like yours are a god send.Really appreciate your time and efforts to keep our wonderful culture alive.

P.S. I guarantee that i am not yet another Tamil fanatic who is obsessed with the language.I do respect and research on world history. However,Tamil stays close to my heart..

  66. Hemanth, hope you won't mind if I share my story here -
I read somewhere that these scriptures were for a few chosen ones and that their eternal quest will eventually carry them to their naadi. So I start out one morning on a drive to know my fate through the hellish Bangalore traffic, with auto drivers and bikers frequently interrupting my attempt to establish a divine connection …. and finally, my GPS guides me to the place.
I was asked to leave my shoes and to be seated. My fingerprint was taken. And after a while several information were collected -
    • My date of birth,
    • Time of birth,
    • My place of birth,
    • My full name
    • My Wife’s time of birth
In about 15 minutes it was communicated that my leaf was found and I was asked to come and sit across the table with the reader. I don’t understand Tamil and they had a translator who doubles up as the receptionist.
The reader asked an array of questions -
    1) Nature of job
    2) Numbers of siblings
    3) Whether or not parents are retired
    4) Whether or not they are staying together
    5) Nature of job of my parents
    6) If my mother’s name start with A,B,C etc .. whether or not her name sounds line Shweta and alike
    7) Same question about my wife
    8) My hometown
    9) Whether or not I stay with parents at the same place
    10) Starting letter of my father’s name (A,B,C etc)
    11) How has it been between me and my wife
I was asked to wait outside for a while and Finally!! It was communicated in no uncertain terms that my NAADI has indeed been found.. and I’m back into the consulting room. Been asked to pay namaskar to the scriptures.. a small preaching about Agyastha Rishi and Lord Shiva
A few immaculately accurate points about me –
    • My name (Already shared with them)
    • My age (DOB was shared with them earlier)
    • My moon shine (even I can find it out)
    • That I have been married for 3 years (it’s 2 actually)
    • That I’m into computer/technical profession (in Bangalore what else can one be)
    • My wife is also in similar profession
    • My father had a government job (anyone can predict from the trail of questions asked earlier during the scripture identification process)
    • My mother had a government job too (not too difficult to predict isn’t it)
And then starts the real story, a long, about 20 minute long speech about my past life.. I was not exactly what you call a good guy in my past birth. I tortured my wife (dude gimme a break!! ) in the past life and that’s why there’s some curse on me that will keep giving me problems in my marital life in THIS BIRTH (I indeed have evolved in this birth.. even since I got married, forget ‘torturing wife’, I don’t get to watch a late night Barcelona match ‘cause my wife doesn’t approve of it).. After a while, I politely conveyed my lack of interest in stories pertaining to past birth and that I’d be interested in my past (in this birth - always believed that if someone can tell you about your past he must be having something in him that a regular guy doesn’t)
My plea was heard and the ‘reader’ moved on to the future chapters. Again a stream of cock-n-bull stuffs. Now this was getting boring and I started feeling irritated. No specific prediction, all very generic lines like you will have small problematic incidents with your wife, you have to handle her with care etc. Not even for once this fellow could say anything specific about the problems I’m going through, no reference to a specific incident about my life that would restore the belief I had earlier.
I mentioned in certain terms that I would be interested in the chapter that talks about past (and no previous birth bullshitting this time… I want to hear about past in THIS LIFE) . I was given to understand that, THAT chapter is a very special one, and not too many asks for it. They can fetch it from Tamilnadu and if found they will give me a call back.
Paid the money, back to my car and lit a cigarette. Those who are still interested,The address - ,No 16,3rd main,3rd cross ,hoysala nagar, ramamurthy nagar, bangalore

  79. Nadi astrology is complete rubbish. I have experience of going to a nadi kendra and getting my leaf. When they started with giving hints of who I am. alot of the info was right. But their prediction till now has been all wrong. 70% of their prediction is wrong. Now when i look back, i realise that a lot of what they said while checking if the leaf is mine or not was based on permutation and combination. I visited the Nadi kendra in Gurgaon. My real life experience says it is false and whtever predictions are right are basic things that any pandit will tell after seeing ur horoscope.

  80. I don't know how many of u'l out here believe this, but Nadi astrology is indeed true. It all depends on how accurately you answer the questions when the leaf is being read out. I have seen cases where in excitement people have mismatched their answers and got a different leaf instead of their own. For my experience, my past and present came out to be exactly the same. Future predictions till date have been accurate too. Let's wait and watch for the upcoming predictions.
    Cheers....

There are 3 people who wrote such amazing thing... Agasthiyar, Romarishi and Brihu...

Out of which agasthiyar is fabulous.... This scripture was in saraswathi mahal library until last century after which it was auctioned, in the auction only two people took entire collection, one is from kanchipuram and other is from chidambaram... everyone else lies about nadi ...

Secondly... Not everyone's palm leaf is avaiable...

even if u go to anyone claiming to tell u nadi jyotish they have to collect scripture reference from either chidambaram or kanchipuram... Tamilnadu...

  86. I would like to share my experience with Naadi. I first visited a Naadi center in Kolkata in 2011(it was the only one then) after hearing feedback from 2-3 persons. But I have serious doubts in my mind that how it can work based on thumb expression. The day I went there, the Naadi reader start opening one after another bundle, but my leaf was not found (exact match). So he asked me to come to next day and tried once again with many other bundles. But my leaf was not found after trying for about 6 hours in 2 consecutive days. I was disappointed and thought that probably I was not destined to have my Naadi reading.
After that I almost forgot about this and visited few other astrologers. Around end 2016 during in my birth month, suddenly a thought came to my mind to visit a Naadi astrologer. I called up the same place where I visited in 2011 and fixed an appointment. I was dead sure that this time also will be the same and my leaf won't be found after couple of hours of try.
They took my thumb impression only and nothing else. I could recognize the same lady interpreter. I was mentally prepared to waste few hours and go back home without anything.
The Naadi reader came with a bundle as usual and start his usual questions. I was mentally fully prepared not to reveal anything from which he can make a guess work.He started asking one or two questions from each leaf and start rejecting them. I was just answering in Yes and No. After rejecting about 10-12 leaves (after 15 mins or so), he suddenly told my father's name in the current leaf and asked me to reconfirm. I said yes. Then he told my mother's name, my name, my wife's name and my DOB (exact Bengali names without any distortion). Then he kept on telling one after another information about my myself, wife, children etc. All matched. He told me so now this is your leaf and your prediction will be given to you shortly.
After that he read the prediction and a translator translated that in Bengali and handed me the CD.
I visited another Naadi center to open my 10th house only. And the future prediction is almost similar (70%) year-wise. The amazing part is they told me some details which no one in the world knows except me and my wife.
I believe Naadi astrology is 100% genuine as I have experienced it myself. Though there could be fake Naadi readers and you have to find the right one. A genuine naadi astrologer will only take thumb impression from you and nothing else. I am waiting to see if my future prediction comes true or not but so far I have full faith on it based on my personal experience. One more point, science and logic doesn't work here. What you'll experience is beyond science, I would say 9th wonder in the world if your leaf is found. Please try to visit a genuine Naadi center (they will only take thumb impression for prediction and no prior question will be asked). I would love to discuss with non believers.
